‘Open Endings’ is officially selected at the Wicked Queer: Boston’s LGBTQIA+ Film Festival!
The local film industry continues to gain recognition abroad, with another Pinoy film set to screen in the United States.
Even more iconic, it’s a queer film!
On Instagram, the team behind the Cinemalaya 2025 entry Open Endings announced its official selection to Wicked Queer: Boston’s LGBTQIA+ Film Festival. Co-presented by the Boston Asian American Film Festival, the screening marks the film’s US premiere.
“We made a small film about love, friendship, and messy queer lives…and now it’s heading to the U.S!” the team captioned. “We’re all excited to bring the stories of these 4 queer women to new spaces and new audiences.”
The film will screen on April 6, 7:00 p.m., at The Coolidge Corner Theatre.
Tickets and further details will be posted on Wicked Queer’s official website.
Open Endings follows four queer women in their 30s—exes-turned-best friends—navigating adulthood, love, friendship, chosen families, and everything in between.
The film stars the rumored pair Klea Pineda and Janella Salvador, along with Leanne Mamonong and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
It is directed by Nigel Santos and written by Keavy Eunice Vicente.
