Celebrity Autobiography has announced additional stars for its Broadway run, which begins at the Shubert Theatre May 16. Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick (The Producers) will star in the show beginning May 18, the show’s opening night. The comedy performance also announced its rush and lottery policy.

The show will feature a rotating cast of stage and screen favorites. Other newly announced stars include broadcast journalist Katie Couric, Anthony Anderson (black-ish), Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), ballet dancer Tiler Peck, and Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer (Spamalot).

These new cast members join the previously announced Scott Adsit (30 Rock), Mario Cantone (Sex and the City), Jackie Hoffman (Only Murders in the Building), Christopher Jackson (Hamilton), Ben Mankiewicz (Turner Classic Movies), Andrea Martin (McNeal), Pack, Reyfel, and Rita Wilson (Sleepless in Seattle). All of these actors will perform May 16. Wilson is also on the producing team.

For those interested in purchasing discount tickets to Celebrity Autobiography, the show also announced a digital lottery, digital rush, and in-person rush. The digital lottery, for $49 tickets, will open at 12 AM ET the day before each performance. Winners are drawn at 10 AM ET and 3 PM ET. Winners will be notified by email shortly after each drawing and have five hours to claim and purchase tickets online. Winners may buy up to two tickets at $49 each. Visit Rush.Telecharge.com.

A limited number of tickets may be available for digital rush the day of the performance (and at 12 PM ET on Sundays) at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre box office, subject to daily availability. There is a limit of two tickets per person and tickets are $49 each.

The in-person rush policy will offer $40 tickets for same day performances. A limited number of tickets may be available for rush beginning at 10 AM the day of the performance (and 12 PM on Sundays) at the Jacobs Theatre box office. Celebrity Autobiography, created by Eugene Pack and co-developed with Dayle Reyfel, is coming to the Main Stem after several hit runs internationally, including an Off-Broadway run that won the 2009 Drama Desk for Unique Theatrical Experience and other bows in London’s West End, Sydney Opera House, and more. Pack and Reyfel are at the helm of the Broadway bow.

The performance features a rotating company reading excerpts from actual celebrity memoirs. According to press notes, each performance could and will be different. Most stars will have one-to two-week stints, but others might appear for a performance or two, and press notes share that audiences should expect “surprise guests … from time to time” as well.

As for after that, we’re told to expect some combination of people from a “constantly-expanding” roster that includes Paula Abdul, Brooke Adams, Pamela Adlon, Jason Alexander, Anthony Anderson, Lewis Black, Christie Brinkley, Danny Burstein, Bob Costas, Katie Couric, Tate Donovan, Chloe Fineman, Will Forte, Gina Gershon, Kathy Griffin, Jeff Hiller, Ken Jeong, Gayle King, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer, Stewart Lane, Susan Lucci, Andrea Martin, Ralph Macchio, Donna McKechnie, Eric McCormack, Bobby Moynihan, Laraine Newman, Oscar Nuñez, Cheri Oteri, Tiler Peck, Billy Porter, Phil Rosenthall, Tony Shalhoub, Sherri Shepherd, Molly Shannon, Keenan Thompson, Jennifer Tilly, Nia Vardalos, Bruce Vilanch, and Alan Zweibel. Co-directors and show creators Pack and Reyfel will join each night’s celebrity guests on stage. More casting will be announced. Performance schedules are at Telecharge.com.

“This is show is inspired by the ‘important’ revealing details recounted in celebrity memoirs—what they eat in every restaurant, how they stack their clothes, what they keep in their freezer, and how hard hard their jobs are,” shared Pack in an earlier statement.

The staging features scenic and costume design by Derek McLane, lighting design by Ed McCarthy, and sound design by Palmer Hefferan. The Broadway run is produced by Wilson, Eric Falkenstein, Douglas Denoff, Fraboni, Peter Martin, and EP Productions. Foundation Theatrical‘s Erich Jungwirth is general managing, and James FitzSimmons serves as production stage manager.
