While reporting on the latest news across the country, the hosts of Fox & Friends took a second to announce some exciting news of their own.
“We have a brand-new member of the Fox & Friends family. Carley Shimkus [gave] birth to her son, Harrison,” Fox News correspondent Ashley Strohmier announced during the show’s Monday, July 27, episode. “And we are so happy to report both mom and baby are doing great. And baby Harrison joins his big brother, Brock.”
Shimkus shares baby Harrison and her eldest son, Brock, with her husband, Peter Buchignani, to whom she has been married since 2015. On the show, Strohmier said she thinks Harrison looks “so similar” to his big brother, adding, “They’re so precious. And Carley looks so great. Oh, my gosh. Congratulations to them.”
Host Ainsley Earhardt noted that she visited Shimkus in the hospital a few days after she gave birth and got to meet baby Harrison. “She looked amazing. Without a stitch of makeup on, looked amazing. And she’s holding this baby. And there we are,” she gushed.
Unlike Strohmier, Earhardt said she thinks Harrison favors his dad. “The baby does look like Pete, ’cause Brock looks more like Carley,” she stated.
Host Steve Doocy, for his part, couldn’t believe how much Shimkus’s family has grown. “I can’t believe how big Brock is,” he said before joking. “Man, these kids, you feed them, they grow up!” (Shimkus and Buchignani welcomed Brock in 2023.)
Viewers congratulated Shimkus on her baby news via social media. “Congrats so love this for you and your little family,” one person commented underneath a baby announcement post on Fox News’ Instagram page. Another added, “How precious! Congratulations to mom, baby & family!”
Someone else shared, “Congratulations @carleyshimkus on the new addition to your precious family!!! He’s absolutely handsome!!!” A different person posted, “Congratulations!! What a beautiful boy!!! That went by fast!!! What a beauty. Just like his mom, dad, and ‘bro.” A separate commenter stated, “Congratulations Carley and family! Such blessings!”

Shimkus announced her pregnancy on Fox & Friends back in March. “My husband and I, and Brock, my son, who’s now 3, are so excited,” she said at the time, revealing that her baby was a boy.
Ahead of Harrison’s birth, Shimkus looked back at her motherhood journey by sharing several photos of Brock from over the years via Instagram. “As we are getting ready to welcome a new baby, I am reflecting on so many happy memories as a family of three with my very funny, high energy boy,” she captioned the July 16 post. “I can’t wait to meet the little one who will grow our hearts even more!”
