Alix Earle has returned to social media following a brief break, revealing the health-related reason for her hiatus.
“I know I haven’t posted anything on here in the past few days,” Earle, 25, said via TikTok on Sunday, July 26. “Honestly, I just sort of took some time for myself and tried to not be online as much because I was getting into not the best place.”
She explained, “I’ve always been fine with reading commentary about myself. That’s what you subject yourself to when you post yourself online. But recently, I don’t know. It’s felt more negative. Obviously it’s gonna get to you or make you overthink when you’re constantly reading about what you’re doing, the way you look, who you’re hanging out with, what you’re saying.”
Earle shared that last week she hit a breaking point while doing her makeup and “broke down in tears.”
“I was on the plane and I had a panic attack,” she added. “I’ve just been struggling a bit. It’s my happy place to come on here and talk and share things but it feels like every time I share something now it’s a problem or people are trying to figure out what I’m talking about or it just turns into something bigger. I’m just trying to share my human experiences.”
Earle found a way to unwind by visiting friends in Miami, where she went to college.
@alixearle Update 🤪 love u guys sorry for the quiet week
“I saw my friends; we had a nice dinner,” she said, noting that she was “supposed” to post a vlog that week, but decided against it. “Just little things of overthinking everything about myself, I’m like, cancel it.”
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model also said that sharing her life online shouldn’t “result in hating” herself and constantly overthinking.
“I’ve actually recorded a video like this a few times, but the other times I was recording it I was crying and I was like, let me just collect myself a little more,” she said.
“Update 🤪 love u guys sorry for the quiet week,” Earle captioned the post. Her followers were quick to support her in the comments section.
“Take a break and spend some time with Asia girl!” one wrote, referring to her dog. “That will heal soooo much!” Another added, “Take care of yourself busy queen.” A third fan commented, “People throw rocks at things that shine 💎.”
Earle’s post comes after accusations that she got alloClae filler — made from purified human donor tissue as a non-surgical option to body contouring — in her butt. Earle shut down the rumors via social media earlier this month after a person commented, “With how transparent you were coming up to your fame I really hope you speak on the body enhancements you’ve clearly done lol.”
“These comments are making me laugh,” she responded at the time.
Others had thoughts on Earle spending time with Stassie Karanikolaou. On July 13, one wrote, “I feel like stassie friendships just seem like love bombing episodes,” to which Earle replied, “Why is everyone so negative these days?”
