See the views from the new Memphis Flyway at Tom Lee Park
The Memphis Flyway scenic overlook opened June 12, 2026, along the Mississippi River on the south side of Tom Lee Park in Downtown Memphis.
“Alley Dayz,” an annual tradition that brings music, merch and other enticements to an outdoor setting in Downtown Memphis, returns this month.
Hosted by the Downtown Memphis Commission, the first Alley Dayz event of the 2026 season is set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, in the National Civil Rights Museum’s Founders Park, the recently redesigned and reopened space in front of the museum that connects Mulberry and Main Street.
The free event will feature music by the “Songstress of Soul,” Talibah Safiya, and a DJ set from Marifa. Local vendors will be on hand, selling food and drink and Memphis-made and National Civil Rights Museum products.
Alley Dayz events generally occur monthly, through October, in various outside spaces around Downtown. The other 2026 dates and locations have yet to be announced.
