In the month since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelceannounced their engagement, the hype has been real, and now, even iconic ’80s bands are trying to become a part of their eventual wedding — otherwise known as what might end up being the event of the century.
First, it started with Foreigner, who offered to be Swift and Kelce’s wedding band earlier this month. Never to be outdone, Air Supply is throwing their hat in the ring, too.
Posting Foreigner’s offer to play the wedding on their own Facebook page, Air Supply let the world know that they “figured out what love is” 50 years ago, poking fun at Foreigner’s hit “I Want to Know What Love Is.”
“Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift… let’s cut to the chase,” they wrote. “We’ll bring the love songs, you bring the wedding vows… Drop the date, we’ll drop the mic!”
Judging by the very enthusiastic comments on the post, it sounds like this is something fans would be totally down for. Others saw this post for what it truly is: A way to snag a coveted invite to the wedding.
“Nice try, we ALL want to come to the wedding. Get in line,” one fan joked.
Travis Kelce Shared Details About His Proposal to Taylor Swift This Week
While chatting with Erin Andrews for NFL on Fox, Kelce admitted that the moment he asked Swift to marry him last month left him a bit nervous.
“The palms were definitely sweating,” the Kansas City Chiefs player said. “I’m an emotional guy, so there were a few tears here and there. It’s been an exciting ride up to this day, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”
As for the full proposal deets? Like a good fiancé, Kelce said he’d let his future wife “tell that story.” Correct answer, Kelce!
So far, Kelce and Swift haven’t shared any of their wedding plans — including what band will be responsible for providing the music. Maybe Foreigner and Air Supply could play a double set?
