Sometimes, it’s just too hot and muggy out to wear a ball gown, you know? Aubrey Plaza gets it. The actor, who is currently pregnant with her first child, has been on an easy, breezy maternity style streak—delivering lesson after lesson in dressing like a normal person—and we’re so here for it.
Plaza debuted her baby bump in two different minidresses and heels—a simple and classic outfit solution—back in April. And in May, to watch the New York Knicks at the Eastern Conference Finals, she brought out the ultimate heatwave staple: a black spaghetti-strap maxi dress, which she paired with black mesh flats, a crossbody bag, and a Knicks hat.
We’ve also seen Plaza out and about on the streets of New York City, and we have to say her street style is the most relatable part of her maternity wardrobe. In April, she emerged in a boxy white T-shirt, little black athletic shorts, a tan technical jacket, and chunky New Balance 9060 sneakers in brown suede, which she unexpectedly wore with white knee-high socks.
And yesterday, the My Old Ass star showed off her easy off-duty maternity style yet again, as she stepped out in the city with boyfriend Christopher Abbott. Her look was composed of a classic white button-down (that she rolled up at the sleeves), striped blue denim shorts with a stretchy waistband, and suede Birkenstock clogs. She finished things off with a brown crossbody bag and tortoiseshell sunglasses. Relatable!
Abbott, next to her, went just as casual in a white Knicks muscle tee, stretchy black Adidas shorts, and suede boots worn with black socks. A black backpack and dark shades completed his classic New Yorker fit.
Sartorially, these two are a perfect match.
