Pretty much every celebrity on the face of the planet was invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, but one person who definitely didn’t make the invite list? Taylor’s former best friend Blake Lively, who she’s reportedly been at odds with ever since being named in Blake’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni. And according to a source, their friendship is “done.”
“Taylor’s in a different place now and she just wants to be around people she trusts and who bring her peace,” an insider tells Page Six. “It’s a shame because she and Blake really were close, but she doesn’t think it’s something that’s going to be fixed. As far as [Taylor’s] concerned, their friendship is done.”
“There was a point where Taylor thought she and Blake would get past all of this,” the source adds. “She didn’t expect things to end up like this. At first she figured once everything settled down, they’d be fine. But then more stuff kept happening and it just got harder to come back from. It wasn’t one big thing, it was everything adding up. By the time Taylor was making decisions about the wedding and who she wanted there, she realized she just didn’t want that kind of energy around something so important and it really was a turning point for her.”
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail spoke to a source who said Blake is “sad and a little bit pissed. No, a lot pissed. That friendship was over before but if there was hope, it’s gone. They’ll never be friends again.”
They added that Blake “wanted to go” and that “It feels bad to be excluded like that. She had sort of hoped that despite everything, their history was enough that they’d be included, but that’s not the way it went.”
