Brandy Norwood made a bold beauty play at the “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland” premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, sporting snowy extensions that melted with her monochromatic fashion.

Clad in a cropped tunic and a spiraling white skirt with sheer paneling, the Grammy-winning artist made her case for white hair outside the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The animated aesthetic was accented with pin-straight ends and braided embellishments that came down to her midsection. While the frosty look most definitely resembled Elsa’s pale locks in “Frozen,” the color was meant to embody the aesthetic of a different Disney princess: Cinderella.

Directed by Kimmy Gatewood, the new “Descendants” movie will see Norwood reprise her role as the beloved character, roughly 29 years after she first assumed the title in Robert Iscove’s 1997 adaptation. In the original film, however, Norwood’s hair was its natural, coily texture and chocolate brown color. In Disney’s “Descendants: The Rise of Red,” the first installment in the franchise, the actress appeared with blue hair.

Perhaps Norwood’s white hair on Tuesday was a harbinger of Cinderella’s revamped aesthetic in the upcoming film, set to premiere on Thursday. Only time will tell.
Though the on-screen star has yet to credit the artist who helped craft her premiere color, she likely worked with her longtime collaborator, celebrity stylist Devante Turnbull. Turnbull was the architect behind Norwood’s recent multicolored ringlets and strawberry-ginger transformation. WWD has reached out to the hair artist for confirmation.

Elsewhere on Tuesday night’s carpet, Rita Ora paid homage to her character in a red hot sculptural, sheer gown with corset and rhinestone detailing. Meanwhile, her hair was styled in a bleach blond pixie cut that was parted and pinned over the right side of head.
