Time is the only gift that matters now.
This Christmas, Bruce Willis’ family plans to spoil him rotten amid his ongoing battle with frontotemporal dementia.
“The whole family feels incredibly blessed to still have Bruce here for the holidays,” a source tells Examiner. “He was always the ultimate Santa Claus. He used to go so over the top with gifts … and now, they see this as their chance to give him some of that immense love back.”
Willis’ wife, Emma Heming, has previously spoken about how “hard” the holidays have been since the 70-year-old action star was diagnosed with FTD, a degenerative disease for which there is no cure, in 2023.
The one thing that has helped, though, has been “community,” the author and activist, 47, noted in her Instagram post.

Heming, who shares daughters Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11, with the Die Hard star, has a close bond with his ex-wife, Demi Moore, and their daughters Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Talluluah, 31.
“There was some talk of going to [Demi’s home in] Idaho together,” the source reveals, “but it’s more likely they will all stay put in Los Angeles since everything is set up here for Bruce’s comfort already and that’s really the priority.”
In September, Heming revealed to Diane Sawyer that Willis had moved out of the family home and into another house nearby, where he receives round-the-clock support from a team of professional caregivers.
“Everything they do revolves around keeping Bruce happy and making sure he’s always surrounded by love,” says the source. “Of course there’s sadness over Bruce’s decline, but they are leading with joy and gratitude and treating this time with him as a gift to be cherished.”
