BTS fans in Korea are abuzz after a special postcard sent to ARMY gold members on December 30 hinted at the group’s highly anticipated return. The postcard, featuring a new logo, listed the date March 20, 2026, prompting speculation about a comeback and potential world tour. No official statement has been made by BTS’s label HYBE, but the date has fuelled anticipation across social media.
The postcard follows months of hints from BTS members Jin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook, who all completed mandatory military service by June 2025. Since then, the group has offered updates about new music and concert plans. This latest message is now at the centre of fan discussions about what the band might unveil in 2026.
Fans quickly took to social media with theories about the March 20 date. One fan wrote, “so my theory for this is that the first circle represents struggles bts has gone through, the second shows them being divided and unsure of their future, and the third shows army connecting them (sic).”
Social media users also noted that March 20, 2026, marks both the start of spring and falls on a Friday, the traditional global release day for music. As one ARMY said, “Is this a hint for the BTS comeback?? cuz SPRING 2026 do starts March 20th and it’s a FRIDAY (when new music usually drops!)”
The reverse side of the postcard featured printed handwritten messages from each BTS member, wishing fans a happy new year and expressing excitement for group activities in 2026.
Jin’s note read, “Hello ARMY. Happy New Year. I greeted you all as a soloist in 2023 and 2024, but I can finally greet you as part of a team again. Thank you so much for waiting. We will work hard with our promotions. Fighting (sic).”
“Hello ARMY, the new year 2026 has arrived. Finally, it’s the year that we will all be together with you!! I’m already looking forward to it!! Finally, what I’ve been thinking of is becoming reality!! For real!! Happily and with joy!! Let’s be together. Let’s go!! ARMY!! BTS!! (sic),” wrote J-Hope.
Suga wrote, “Happy new year ARMY!! The new year is starting again. I’m praying that things will be awesome for you this year as well. I miss you. Let’s have fun this year. I love you!! We’ll see you soon (sic).”
RM wished fans by writing, “Finally finally finally. The year 2026 has arrived.The one who has been waiting for that year more than anyone. I’ve missed you all!! Bangtan is coming. BTS is coming!! Woohoo!! (sic)”
Jimin wrote, “”HAPPY NEW YEAR!! The new year is bright. Finally, the year that we can meet you all is here. We want to show our gratitude to the ARMY who are always beside us giving their support. I hope this year brings you more happiness than the previous year (sic).”
“I hope that 2026 brings you more and better memories! It’s been a while since we released an album but I hope you will look over us well, I have missed you! I hope today will also be a good day for you! (sic),” wrote V.
Finally, Jungkook’s message read, “”Hello ARMY. This is Jungkook. Have you been healthy? I’ve missed you! I always feel the same way. I’ve been working hard as usual! Please look over us well in 2026 as well! Happy new year (sic).”
The new year is certainly off to a great start for BTS fans.
