Emma Stone thinks Poor Things co-star Willem Dafoe might be an alien
When Stephen Colbert asked about who she thinks might be an alien amongst her costars, Emma Stone quickly pointed out Willem Dafoe. Adding to the joke, she said that if aliens have started to look like Dafoe, then humans would have no problem in inviting them to their planet. She explained,
“If it was like, Willem Dafoe’s actually an alien, everyone would be like, ‘Yeah! Obviously. And a great one!’ Like, if they’re all like Willem, bring ‘em on! Land upon Earth, please!”
The host added to the notion and said that Willem Dafoe is “an alien in a very well-fitted man suit.” Stone said that he is her “favorite alien.” The two stars, Emma Stone and Willem Dafoe, have crossed paths during a variety of projects. They were famously cast in Poor Things and Kinds of Kindness. Another film that they have seen was Spiderman. Stone played Gwen Stacy while Dafoe was Norman Osborn at one point.

The dark sci-fi comedy blends social satire with an offbeat storyline, showcasing Stone’s range as an actress. Stone revealed she went through a major transformation for the role.
