Wardrobe malfunctions can be pretty darned embarrassing for a performer … or they can just laugh it off.
Credit country music singer Emily Ann Roberts with doing her best to laugh it off.
Roberts gave her side of things in a recent Instagram post. Turns out, while performing in Atlanta on Sunday, was signing her song, “Chickens” when the top button of her outfit popped off but she apparently gathered herself quickly and kept on performing.
“Tonight was the night that I almost showed my bare boobies to a whole sold out crowd,” she said.
“There I was, two songs in, just feeling myself in this bad girl outfit,” she said. “I had fancy pants on and everything. It was pretty cute, right? Well, it’s held together by three little flimsy snags, and one snag decided to pop open in the middle of, you guessed it, ‘Chickens.’ I about went to bed with the chickens with a bunch of strangers tonight. Made it through the song, we re-snapped ourselves, and then I hollered at my husband.”
Roberts then explained she had to put on a sweater over her outfit in front of the crowd.
“And for the rest of my 90-minute show, I literally sang like this,” she said while dancing in her sweater. “Hot right? That’s how I felt.”
The 27-year-old is known for her runner-up finish as a member of Team Blake on Season 9 of “The Voice.”
Fans had a good laugh at her video along with her.
“LOL!” one person wrote. “At least you had a matching sweatshirt! That outfit is gorgeous, though and looks stunning on you!”
“No boobies were shown in the making of this concert!” another wrote. You rolled with the punches and handled it with grace. It was a WONDERFUL show!!!”
