GREEN LAKE – Crystal Bowersox is scheduled to perform at the Thrasher Opera House at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10, according to a community announcement.
Bowersox, a singer-songwriter from northwest Ohio, gained fame during the ninth season of “American Idol.” She began performing in local clubs at age 10 and later moved to Chicago, where she busked on subway platforms, according to the announcement.

Since her time on “American Idol,” Bowersox has released a debut album, “Farmer’s Daughter,” on Jive Records, along with three LPs, two EPs and numerous singles. She has also recorded and performed with several notable artists, according to the announcement.
Bowersox is developing a new theatrical rock concert titled “Trauma Queen.” Beyond her musical career, she is a dedicated advocate, using her voice and talent to support organizations close to her heart, according to the announcement.
