“Dancing with the Stars” Pros Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy Celebrate 7 Years of Marriage: ‘Infinity to Go’

Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy are celebrating seven years of marriage.

The Dancing with the Stars pros tied the knot in 2019. Chmerkovskiy, 40, posted a heartfelt tribute to Johnson, 32, on Instagram on Monday, April 13, in honor of their latest wedding anniversary.

“7 years, that the government knows about. To many more,” Chmerkovskiy wrote. “I’m grateful to be loved by you and have the opportunity to love you, with exclusivity. Just me. Just mine.”

He continued, “What a gift and honor it is to have a woman like you by my side. I never take it for granted and will always love and celebrate you.”

Chmerkovskiy shared several sweet moments of the couple throughout their relationship, starting with a clip of a photo shoot when Johnson was pregnant with their now-3-year-old son, Rome. Other photos and videos included show Chmerkovskiy and Johnson walking the red carpet, dancing together and going on dates.

“7 down, infinity to go ♾️,” commented Johnson, whose 32nd birthday was the day prior, Sunday, April 12.

Several celebrity friends congratulated the couple on their marriage milestone in the comments section, including Taylor Lautner, who wrote, “Ugh I love you guys so much,” and Dance Moms alum Melissa Gisoni, who wrote, “Happy Anniversary! ❤️❤️.”

Chmerkovskiy added a series of photos and videos with Johnson on his Instagram Stories as they celebrated their anniversary in Seattle, which included a visit to the famous Gum Wall.

Johnson also marked the anniversary on her Instagram Stories by resharing her husband’s post and posting a photo of Chmerkovskiy standing in front of the Gum Wall. She wrote in an onscreen caption, “Celebrating 7 years married to this beautiful man. My safe place, my joy, my best friend, my lover, my MAN. Thank you for loving me! It’s my greatest honor to love you whole heartedly 💕✨♾️.”

The couple met in 2014 when they both appeared on Dancing with the Stars. After a few years of dating, they got engaged in June 2018 during a trip to Venice, Italy. They wed the following April during a romantic ceremony in Rancho Palo Verdes, Calif., and welcomed their son in January 2023.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE last year, Chmerkovskiy explained that communication and quality time are key in their relationship.

“As far as intimacy with Jen and our personal time, yeah, it’s hard,” he said in April 2025. “But again, it’s just checking in with each other, communicating, making sure I communicate to her that I miss her and I need some attention, and vice versa.”

He added, “Wherever we can find the time, we try to spend it together. We check in and definitely try to allocate enough time for us to continue to love each other and be together and not lose that spontaneity and that joy for each other too.”
