Doja Cat is known for her hilarious antics and her most recent stunt came on the red carpet of the 2025 MTV VMAs.
The “Agora Hills” artist touched up her glam, mainly the “Lady Danger” lipstick she was wearing. She then devoured it. Following the eyebrow-raising move, MAC Cosmetics released a video the following day with world-renowned pastry chef Amaury Guichon detailing how they created the edible lipstick.
Guichon, who’s also known as “The Chocolate Guy,” is seen mixing the caramel in a bowl and then piping it into chocolate shells dyed to match the “Lady Danger” shade. He topped it off by carefully carving the MAC logo into each lipstick and adding it into the brand’s signature casing.
“You didn’t really think we’d let @dojacat eat Lady Danger…did you?,” MAC quipped. “We brought in @amauryguichon to help her bite the Lipstick bullet on the red carpet of music’s biggest night.”
On his own Instagram, Guichon gushed, “Making @dojacat Red carpet moment Extra sweet!”
The quirky tease came on the heels of Doja making her debut as a Global Ambassador for MAC.
“Makeup is my paint, my armor, my way of creating characters — and M·A·C has always stood for that kind of artistry and freedom,” she said in a statement. “We’re going to push it even further and make people see beauty in a whole new way…wearing a whole lot of Lady Danger along the way.”
MAC later joked that Doja’s bitten lipstick was selling for $926.25 as a nod to her new album, Vie, which is slated for release on Sept. 26.
