YouTube star Adam the Woo has died at 51. According to authorities, the content creator who rose to fame documenting his life and love of Disney online was found dead at his home in Orlando, Florida. Deputies with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office were sent to his home at 12:30 pm Monday afternoon to conduct a wellbeing check after they were not able to establish communication with him. Officials told TMZ that deputies came back to the house more than two hours later, at about 2:50 pm, after a call reporting an unattended death was filed.

It was reported that the call was made by a worried friend, who made contact with Adam the night before, used a ladder to look through a window and saw the internet star, born Adam Williams, lying unresponsive on a bed. Upon arrival, deputies and fire rescue workers entered the home, where the star was examined and pronounced dead. Although a cause of death has yet to be revealed, authorities confirmed that his family was informed.

In the weeks leading up to his death, he was actively posting as usual on YouTube, where his bio, read: “I go on adventures. Everything from abandoned theme parks to movie locations to wacky roadside attractions.

“I do not take myself or my videos too seriously,” and described himself as “an 80s pop culture ned with a desire to travel and video what I see.”

With his two YouTube channels combined, Adam had more than 1.1 million subscribers, many of whom took to social media to express their devastation at the news of his death, as one penned: “I don’t understand how I can be so torn up and sad over losing someone I have never met. Rest in peace Adam, thanks for the daily laughs and enjoyment.”

Another echoed: “How lucky are we, to mourn a man who had so much of a positive impact on our lives, rest easy Adam.”

As a third added: “Adam, you had a huge impact on the community through millions of strangers through the internet. Thank you for being part of all of our lives! You will be missed! Praying for your family and friends. Condolences all around. Such a great soul.”

In a lengthy Facebook post, fellow YouTuber Justin Scarred described Adam as “one of a kind.” He added: “We lost Adam. I loved this man with my whole heart, and I don’t know what to do or what to say.

“He had so many wonderful friends and knew that he was loved. I don’t know what to do or to say; this comes at horrible time and is most horrible for his family. Please keep THEM in your thoughts and prayers.”

He continued: “Adam and I talked about this day so many times. I wish the world could have known the soft and generous heart behind the screen, the laughter and the tears ‘backstage.’ He was a wonderful person, a true friend to me whenever I needed him, and I genuinely don’t know what to do without him.

“And not just me. I’ve spent all day on the phone with SO many people who were close to Adam, who he loved and who loved him. He touched many many lives, and he was preparing for another year of adventures, and I’m sure he would have touched even more. And I’m telling you, from a front row seat; he was the best. One of a kind. Irreplaceable.”

Adam first began posting YouTube videos in 2009, when he lived in a van and took viewers to abandoned theme parks and locations where popular TV shows and movies were filmed.

Three years later, he launched a second channel titled TheDailyWoo, where he posted daily for five years, documenting his adventures as he reached all 50 states in the US.

Adam the Woo was also a major Disney fan and had posted numerous videos stemming from nearby Disney World, as well as Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
