Donald Trump attacks ‘fake news’ CNBC ahead of China trip – Celebrity News – Entertainment

Donald Trump has taken aim at CNBC accusing them of reporting “fake news” over his trip to China.

Taking to his Truth Social platform, President Trump, 79, took aim at the broadcaster as he ranted about his visit to the country, where he will be joined by an array of big names in the world of business, including Elon Musk.

“In actuality, Jensen is currently on Air Force One and, unless I ask him to leave, which is highly unlikely, CNBC’s reporting is incorrect or, as they say in politics, FAKE NEWS! It is an Honor to have Jensen, Elon, Tim Apple, Larry Fink, Stephen Schwarzmann, Kelly Ortberg (Boeing), Brian Sikes (Cargill), Jane Fraser (Citi), Larry Culp (GE Aerospace), David Solomon (Goldman Sachs), Sanjay Mehrotra (Micron), Cristiano Amon (Qualcomm), and many others journeying to the Great Country of China where I will be asking President Xi, a Leader of extraordinary distinction, to “open up” China so that these brilliant people can work their magic, and help bring the People’s Republic to an even higher level!

“In fact, I promise, that when we are together, which will be in a matter of hours, I will make that my very first request. I have never seen or heard of any idea that would be more beneficial to our incredible Countries! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

The report came after Nvidia CEO Huang appeared to imply he had not been invited when he said last week, “We should let the president announce whatever he decides to announce … If invited, it would be a privilege, it would be a great honor to represent the United States.”

The scathing post confirmed that Trump has rekindled his friendship with billionaire Tesla founder Musk, having invited him to join the trip to China. The CEOs of Apple, BlackRock and Boeing will also accompany the president on his trip. Trump hopes this visit will lead to a series of trade deals and purchase agreements with Beijing.

“I am very much looking forward to my trip to China, an amazing Country, with a Leader, President Xi, respected by all,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Great things will happen for both Countries!”

Discussions at the summit are likely to focus on trade, artificial intelligence, export controls, Taiwan and the war in Iran. General Motors, Disney and Alphabet also have interests in China that the White House didn’t list as having executives expected to attend.
