Dua Lipa Looks Like a Midnight Blue Disco Ball in a Slinky Sequined Dress

Is that a blue disco ball? No, it’s just Dua Lipa. The singer just made the case for bringing the glitz, glamour, and sparkle to eveningwear this fall. In a new Instagram post, Lipa rocked a slinky midnight blue gown that can only be described as party-ready.

The dress featured thin straps and deep scooping back. It hugged her hips before draping elegantly to the floor. The dress was completely covered in delicate blue sequins. Lipa added even more glamour to the look with a low, ultra slick updo and subtle silver jewelry.

Lipa is only the latest celebrity to dress up as a reflective, glittery disco ball. Earlier this year, Brooke Shields went for a megawatt disco ball dress at the SAG Awards. Then there was Demi Moore who also went disco ball chic at the Oscars. And then there was Selena Gomez, who had her own disco ball moment at her birthday party this summer with a glittery jumpsuit.

Lipa’s disco ball moment comes on the heels a number of daring dresses in recent months. Just last week, she rocked a black shredded dress that exposed her nude bodysuit below while making her return to New York Fashion Week. In July, she went for a see-through black lace dress while on vacation, and in August, she rocked lace again with a sheer burgundy lace dress for her 30th birthday.

Lipa has spoken—as the nights draw in, the dress code for the fall party season is absolutely as many sequins as you can find.
