Paris, Hong Kong and Los Angeles-based All Rights Entertainment has launched international sales on “Christopher Hope and the Secret of Napoleon” at the Cannes Film Market, with Frankie Muniz and Christopher Lloyd leading the cast of the family adventure feature, the opening chapter in a planned trilogy.
The film follows a history student drawn into a race to uncover a long-buried secret Napoleon concealed in Paris, navigating rival secret societies alongside his best friend and a fellow student as they trace clues connecting centuries past to the present day. Producers have cited “National Treasure” and “The Da Vinci Code” as reference points.

Muniz (“Malcolm in the Middle”) and Lloyd, whose career spans several of the most widely recognized franchises in mainstream cinema, carry a layer of cross-generational resonance into the project: Lloyd appeared as Malcolm’s grandfather during the original series run. Thomas Lemoine, who recently appeared opposite Pierre Lottin in “In Custody” and is set to appear in the upcoming Netflix series “The Countess of Monte Cristo,” rounds out the leading trio.
The film is directed by Peter Lyons Collister, whose credits as cinematographer and second-unit director include “Sonic the Hedgehog,” “The Lost City,” “Transformers,” “The Amazing Spider-Man” and “Rush Hour 3.” Cinematography is by Jörg Widmer, a frequent collaborator of Terrence Malick on “The Tree of Life,” “A Hidden Life” and “The Way of the Wind.”
The production is by AuldLands Films and Future Vision Ltd., with support from Screen Malta.
“‘Christopher Hope and the Secret of Napoleon’ is conceived as a true family adventure for today’s international audience: a mystery-driven treasure hunt with historical depth, cinematic scale and a positive emotional core,” the producers said. “As the first chapter of a planned trilogy, the film is designed to entertain internationally while giving younger audiences a sense of curiosity, courage and discovery.”
