General Hospital fans are starting to believe that Willow might be the one who shot Drew. The soap opera kicked off one of the biggest mysteries of the current storyline when Drew Cain was shot in the back by an unknown assailant. Although he has survived the gunshot, he has yet to find out who is conspiring against him.
General Hospital fans might have a good reason for Willow shooting Drew
Drew Cain’s shooter is still at large as fans continue to speculate who it could be. There is no shortage of possible motives, as Drew is one of the most nefarious villains in the ongoing storyline of the soap. Several characters have reasons to try to take him out. One of the popular suspects is Katelyn MacMullen’s Willow Tait, who wanted Drew and Michael gone to gain back the custody of her kids.
Fans believe that Willow could have been the one to pull the trigger. A theory on General Hospital Fans – Official’s Facebook page suggests that she could have snuck the gun into the mansion on the day she was caught by Chase. It is no news that Willow has been slowly losing her mind after losing custody of her two children to her former husband, Michael Corinthos. Furthermore, Drew does everything in his power to control Willow and her actions.

Drew was supposed to marry Willow, but he didn’t go through with the wedding. The emotional distress has been piling up for Willow for a while, and it seems she has a strong motive to take Drew out.
With Drew out of the picture, the blame could fall on Michael due to the tension between them, and send him away for good, killing two birds with one stone. If this happens, Willow can finally meet her kids and gain back their custody. Having said that, the show has yet to reveal the face behind the conspiracy.
With no official confirmation of who the shooter is, the suspect list hasn’t been narrowed down yet. Besides Willow, many other characters could have planned to kill him. It could be Michael himself, or Curtis, Portia, Carly, Nina, and others. For now, the wait continues for the official unmasking.
