A prominent lifestyle influencer, boasting over 12 million followers on Instagram and TikTok, has sparked controversy among her audience after posting tributes to the late conservative figure Charlie Kirk.
Daisy Keech faced a barrage of criticism after she expressed her grief on Instagram stories about Charlie’s tragic demise on September 10, stating she was “at such a loss for words” and showing gratitude for “everything he’s done for the youth of our country.”
In addition to her posts about Charlie, Daisy shared a photo decrying the violent death of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, who suffered a fatal stabbing on a train, alongside a mention of a recent school shooting in South Carolina.
Her posts labeled these events as “an act of the devil” and suggested that silence makes one complicit: “by not using your voice you are a part of the problem.”
Breaking her usual reticence on political matters, Daisy felt compelled to condemn the “evil,” asserting, “If you are rejoicing in the death of a father and husband, I pray for your soul.”
Another commenter pointed out a perceived bias, remarking, “I don’t remember her posting about the Democrat politician killed by the Republican. Strange, isn’t it?” Yet, not all feedback was negative; some followers stood by her.
A supporter declared, “I’m proud of you for honoring Charlie. All the hate on your post just tells you they don’t know this man and only watch[ed] altered clips.”
Another commended her courage in sharing her views, urging her to “ignore the hate.”
This supporter further criticized the negativity, stating, “All these comments are completely unneeded and disrespectful. Have some respect for her!” Daisy continued to honor Charlie with additional photos, later posting a picture with her dog, accompanied by the message, “The world needs more love. And Jesus is love.”
