Actor Javier Bardem was honored with a hand and footprint ceremony Tuesday at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
The ceremony Tuesday at the TCL Chinese Theatre Forecourt included filmmakers Michael Mann and Denis Villeneuve.

“It’s safe to assume that I certainly never imagined standing here at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre preparing to put my hands and feet in cement,” Bardem said. “It’s an honor to be part of this remarkable Hollywood tradition to be included amongst so many extraordinary artists who have left a lasting impact on our cinema.”
Bardem’s credits include “No Country for Old Men,” “Skyfall,” “Dune,” “Being the Ricardos,” “Biutiful” and “Before Night Falls.” He won the Academy Award for best supporting actor for his portrayal of Anton Chigurh in the Coen brothers’ “No Country for Old Men” and has received Oscar nominations for `”Being the Ricardos,” “Biutiful” and “Before Night Falls.”
Bardem currently executive produces and stars in the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series “Cape Fear” alongside Amy Adams.
Before introducing Bardem at the ceremony, Mann said, “Whether it’s a role of immense scale or deep intimacy, it’s your truth that makes the characters you occupy come alive.”
He added, “I am honored to celebrate the unique path you have blazed as an artist, the incomparable body of work and everything you’re still to achieve.”
