Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, the second season of the part-hoax, part-mockumentary series, has come to an end — but not without a surprise celebrity appearance and emotional reveal for its unsuspecting leading man.

On Thursday, April 2, Prime Video dropped the final three episodes of Jury Duty’s second season. Much like the first iteration, its “hero” temp worker Anthony Norman eventually discovers that everything around him at hot sauce company Rockin’ Grandma’s has been an expertly crafted hoax, in which he’s the only one who isn’t in on it. But before that happens, Anthony has to prove himself in a major way.

In episode 6, titled “Culture Fit,” Anthony and the Rockin’ Grandma’s crew take part in their company’s talent show at camp in Agoura Hills, Calif.

As a deal inches closer with Triukas (the sketchy investment group that wants to step in and buy their family-owned business from CEO Doug), the potential buyers end up getting their own performance slot in the company’s talent show, too.

As it turns out, Triukas didn’t intend to perform at the talent show themselves. Instead, they’ve tapped Sia to do it for them. In the middle of the talent show, Sia’s tour bus pulls up to the company retreat, before she sings her 2016 smash “Cheap Trills” for the Rockin’ Grandma’s crew, including a shocked Anthony who apparently was the only one who had no idea what was coming.

Sia even taps Anthony to be her temporary assistant for the night, before asking him to wear a “special outfit” and present her on stage, as she lets him try on a few of her signature jumbo wigs for good measure.

After Sia (naturally) wins the talent show, the Rockin’ Grandmas crew learns that Doug (the Rockin’ Grandma’s CEO played by Jerry Hauck) is ready to sign the papers and close the deal with Triukas.

Episode 7, “Mergers & Acquisitions,” then depicts the intense moments leading up to that moment. Anthony remains level-headed through it all despite numerous distractions and discovering that, if the deal goes through, the group looking to buy Rockin’ Grandma’s would lay off the majority of its workforce.

While listening in on a private Triukas meeting, Anthony and Dougie (the son of Doug, played by Alex Bonifer) learn that Rockin’ Grandma’s might be in jeopardy if Doug signs the paperwork. After a wacky (and pre-planned) chain of events, it’s then up to Anthony himself to persuade Doug against signing the document.

Anthony tries to approach his fake boss on a “father-to-father” level as he storms in on his document-signing session with Triukas. Eventually, Doug thanks Anthony for saving the day and refuses to sign his company away.

At the end of the episode, and the beginning of the series finale, Anthony learns the truth about Rockin’ Grandma’s from Doug, while the fake CEO pulls him aside in front of the entire company.

“The truth is that we have actually hoped that you would bust through that room and stop that deal since the very first minute you stopped through Rockin’ Grandma’s. I told you that this was my last company retreat. What I didn’t tell you was that this was also my first company retreat,” Doug says. “Because I’m not actually the CEO of Rockin’ Grandmas. Rockin’ Grandmas is not a real company.”

After a moment of apparent disbelief, Anthony accepts that the whole operation was set up just for him. “You know what’s crazy is I’ve been saying that this whole time,” he says.

Anthony also shares a few heartfelt and emotional moments with the Company Retreat cast as they finally break character. Some cry, but most express that they really do like Anthony as a person, aside from the show they were acting in without his knowledge. He’s then presented with a “final paycheck” of $150,000.

“Y’all did a phenomenal job, thank you,” Anthony says, later adding: “I still love each and every one of you guys even though you were lying to me.”

Company Retreat streaming on Prime Video. James Marsden, who appeared in the first season of Jury Duty, will host two special episodes for Company Retreat, set to arrive on Prime Video on April 10. One will mark a reunion episode, as the other will feature Anthony meeting Ronald Gladden, the subject of the show’s first season.
