On Saturday, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau were spotted in Paris, France, heading out to celebrate Perry’s 41st birthday at the Crazy Horse, per photos and videos shared by TMZ. The couple walked hand-in-hand as they walked to the car taking them to the famous cabaret show.
Perry was wearing a red satin dress with a long skirt and scoop neckline. She had her hair up in a sleek bun. The former Canadian Prime Minister was wearing a black suit over a black T-shirt.
The pair has made very few public appearances, though earlier this month they were photographed kissing on the pop star’s yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California. A source told Us Weekly this week, “Katy is really into it. She’s very happy. She’s trying to keep it low-key, and they’ve spent a lot of private time together. She’s not looking to publicize this relationship.”
The insider added that friends of the couple seem to think it’s a good fit for both of them.
“Their friends think they are a good match, but he actually hasn’t met a lot of her friends yet,” the source said.
Perry and Trudeau were first linked in July this year when they were seen out to dinner in Montreal during Perry’s tour through the country. A source told People in mid-October that the politician kept reaching out to Perry after that date, though she was initially hesitant to continue seeing him.
“[He has] been pursuing her since [their Montreal date],” the insider said. “He even flew to California to see her during a tour break. They have an easy connection. She finds him attractive. He’s been very respectful.”
The source added, “When she first hung out with Justin, she wasn’t looking to date, but they stayed in touch. They have many shared interests and a lot to talk about, but Katy was navigating too many things to even think about dating then.”
