Pop singer Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have reportedly sustained their relationship through frequent phone calls and texts, with insiders alleging a mutual attraction between the pair.
A source close to the situation told the Daily Mail the two communicate regularly about their lives and families while expressing hope for more face-to-face time.
“Katy is very, very interested in him,” the source claimed, following Perry’s recent tour, which grossed $80 million.
“She says he’s a real catch, a high-quality guy. She keeps a lot of details to herself, but she clearly still likes him a lot.”
In July, the 40-year-old pop star and the 53-year-old political figure sat with each other for hours during a seafood restaurant date.
“She’s actually a pretty good texter. And if she’s interested in someone like she is with him, she’ll take the time to wish him good morning or see how his day went. She’s good like that.”
Perry’s current schedule leaves limited opportunity for visits with Trudeau.
Her Lifetimes Tour, which began on April 23, spans 91 concerts dates and will wrap on December 7, 2025.
Following the tour’s conclusion, she faces no scheduled event for multiple weeks.
“She’s still very busy on her tour,” the insider said. “So time will tell what happens.”
