Actor Nicole Kidman was named the primary residential parent of her children with country singer Keith Urban amid the couple’s divorce proceedings, according to an order obtained by Newsweek.
The permanent parenting plan order states that the two children will spend 306 days of the year with Kidman and 59 days with Urban.
Why It Matters
Kidman filed for divorce from Urban on Tuesday, marking the end of their 19-year marriage. The couple shares two daughters: 17-year-old Sunday Rose Kidman Urban and 14-year-old Faith Margaret Kidman Urban.
Kidman is an Oscar-winning actor known for her roles in films like Moulin Rouge!, The Hours, and Babygirl, and TV shows like Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers.
Urban is a Grammy Award-winning musician with hit songs such as “Somebody Like You” and “Blue Ain’t Your Color.”
Urban signed the order on August 29, while Kidman signed it on September 6.
What To Know
Urban will have parenting time every other weekend from 10 a.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday, the parenting plan order states.
The order also lays out who the children will spend time with on holidays. The children will spend every Mother’s Day with Kidman and every Father’s Day with Urban. The children will spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with Kidman in odd years and Urban in even years.
The order states that Kidman and Urban will make major decisions regarding the children’s education, non-emergency health care, religious upbringing, and extracurricular activities jointly.
“In the unlikely event that the parties do not agree on a major decision for either minor child, Mother shall have final decision-making authority,” the order states.
Neither Kidman nor Urban is required to pay child support, according to the order.
