Kim Kardashian has a new project on the horizon. Starring—yes, starring—in Eva Longoria’s forthcoming comedy film, The Fifth Wheel, the Skims founder-slash-actor has found herself back on a set. And this time, she’s traded the courtroom for a Vegas stage.
Following gigs on Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story and All’s Fair, Kardashian signed on for a leading role in Longoria’s new project, where she was cast alongside Will Ferrell, Brenda Song, Jack Whitehall, and Nikki Glaser.
The film, which follows high school friends on a reunion trip to Las Vegas, will see the reality star as a mysterious outsider who joins the group to force them to confront their pasts. Notably, it marks Kardashian’s first-ever leading role in a movie.
In the first glimpse at what we can expect from the project, Kardashian was captured in a red-and-black showgirl getup, with a bedazzled bodysuit, dramatic satin-lined cape, and black heels. A feather headband, long red opera gloves, dangly ruby earrings, and a black choker finished things off—and altogether, the entrepreneur looked like she belonged up on stage, her name on a marquee. (Or, in an alternate universe, perhaps as an extra on the set of one of Taylor Swift’s Life of a Showgirl music videos.)
Next to Kardashian, an unrecognizable Will Ferrell was seen in a long blonde wig and shaggy beard. He matched his co-star in a red-and-black ensemble, featuring a sheer top and leather pants.
While Netflix has yet to announce an official release date for The Fifth Wheel, we will certainly be keeping an eye out for more behind-the-scenes snippets from the set.
