King Combs is holding tightly to optimism that his father, Sean “Diddy” Combs, will be released from federal prison custody in time to spend the holidays with his family.
While moving through LAX with a female companion, the rapper—born Christian Combs—stopped briefly to speak with TMZ and made it clear that he believes his father’s release may come far sooner than expected.
“He’s [gonna be] on the way home,” he told reporters, suggesting that the music mogul’s legal situation could take a positive turn in the near future.

With the holidays approaching, King Combs didn’t hide his hope that the family could reunite sooner than many anticipate. “We’re gonna see, finger crossed,” he said when asked whether Diddy might be home for the festive season.
Pressed about his father’s morale behind bars, he remained upbeat: “He’s doing good, so we’re just glad everything’s good. He’ll be home soon, though.” He then doubled down with even more confidence, teasing, “He coming home, though, just watch out. He might come home before then.”

King Combs even joked about the family’s holiday soundtrack should the release come to fruition. “We’re gonna play the ‘Free Diddy’ joint [through] the whole Christmas, the whole Thanksgiving [holiday].”
When asked if he had any insight into the rumored Presidential pardon Diddy is seeking, King Combs kept things coy, responding only: “You never know.”

During the same airport encounter, King Combs also reflected on his latest single, “Kim,” a tribute to his late mother, Kim Porter.
Sharing how meaningful it was to channel his grief through art, he said, “it felt good,” noting that the music video has already surpassed one million views on YouTube. He closed the moment with appreciation for supporters: “We love all y’all.”
Meanwhile, Diddy’s team continues to stress that due process remains their focus.

In a statement to VIBE, Juda Engelmayer, Combs spokesperson said, “Sean Combs and his legal team remain fully focused on the expedited appeal now before the court. That process is— and will continue to be — the primary path toward justice.”
Engelmayer added that Diddy is using his time productively: “He is working, mentoring, and counseling others, and he is committed every day to being the strongest and most responsible version of himself. His goal is simple: to return to his family as quickly as the legal process allows.”
Behind bars, Combs has reportedly acclimated to prison life, securing a job in the chapel and even being spotted mingling with other inmates, including former NBA player Sebastian Telfair.
