Singer and new Louisiana resident Lana Del Rey is preparing to release a new album this year and is seemingly getting her new hometown involved, as billboards for her latest single have popped up near the bayou.
Her newest single, “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter,” recounts a passionate romance down in the Louisiana bayou with her alligator tour guide captain husband, Jeremy Dufrene.
Melody Cheramie shared a video of the billboards in the town of Cut Off in Lafourche Parish. The billboards prominently display the single’s artwork — a black-and-white photo of a girl snuggling with a big and protective-looking black dog — which has appeared on buildings in Los Angeles, too.
The song, which was co-written with Dufrene, describes Del Rey’s marital bliss and likens Dufrene’s romantic pull over her to voodoo.
Del Rey and Dufrene got married in September 2024 in a ceremony near the spot where the pair first met in 2019, Airboat Tours by Arthur Matherne in Des Allemands. She spends most of her time in Louisiana with Dufrene, aside from trips to her adopted hometown of Los Angeles.
Del Rey has shared snapshots of their wedded life on Instagram and shared that she likes to swim in the bayou in a 2025 interview with W Magazine.
Ahead of the Feb. 17 release of “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter,” Del Rey called it her favorite song on her upcoming album “Stove,” which she said will be released in the coming months. The album is expected to be country-inspired.
