Madonna is enthusiastically returning to the record company that initially helped establish her reign as the “Queen of Pop.”
Following nearly two decades apart, the 67-year-old music legend has inked a new deal with Warner Records, the very label responsible for some of her most legendary albums like American Life, Confessions on a Dance Floor, and Hard Candy.
This announcement represents a remarkable homecoming for the pop icon, who severed ties with Warner back in 2007, when she secured a groundbreaking agreement with Live Nation.
Breaking the news to her devoted followers on Thursday, Madonna shared a series of photographs on Instagram, striking poses in golden stilettos, fishnet stockings, and an extremely provocative silver see-through gown.
She captioned the post, “It Feels like home with Warner Records. Back to music, Back to the Dance Floor Back to where it all began.”
With this major reveal, she also disclosed that her upcoming album will carry the title COADF – P. 2 and is scheduled to drop in 2026.
The project will be another collaboration with DJ Stuart Price, the producer behind her 2005 blockbuster Confessions on a Dance Floor.
Looking back on her extensive journey, Madonna remarked, “From being a struggling artist in New York City to signing a record deal to release just three singles, it seemed at the time my world would never be the same again and in fact that couldn’t have been truer.
“Since the beginning, Warner Records has been a real partner with me. I am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations.”
This marks her debut studio album in seven years, after 2019’s Madame X which garnered glowing praise from her countless admirers worldwide.
In response to the exciting announcement, Warner Records chiefs Tom Corson and Aaron Bay-Schuck have hailed Madonna’s comeback as a pivotal milestone.

Madonna’s partnership with Warner dates back to 1982, when she inked her deal with Sire Records, one of its subsidiaries. That deal led to her self-titled 1983 debut and a series of worldwide hits including Like a Virgin, which was released in 1984, and Like a Prayer, which topped the charts back in 1989.
She later launched her own label, Maverick, in collaboration with Time Warner in 1992. Her 25-year tenure with Warner ended in 2008 with the release of Hard Candy.
Now, almost two decades later, the pop legend is back where it all started and she’s gearing up to start a new chapter in her record-breaking career as she approaches her landmark 70th birthday.
