Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos always have something to say about each other’s TV wardrobes … and recently, Mark had to make sure his wife looked perfect!
The couple has been hosting Live With Kelly and Mark since April 2023, and fans love seeing their romantic interactions unfold every weekday morning. Well, on the March 23 episode of the ABC daytime series, Mark unexpectedly noticed a beauty faux pas on Kelly live on the air: Her hair was stuck in her lipstick. And what kind of husband would he be if he simply ignored it?
So Mark stopped Kelly’s monologue about their friends taking pictures of their pets to help remedy her makeup situation. But what the actor didn’t expect was his co-host’s opinion on it.
“You have a little hair stuck to your lipstick,” Mark said in a clip shared on Instagram, via Decider. “There we go—so sorry. It was stuck like that.”
“I wanted it there!” Kelly laughed in jest. “It’s all the rage, people are putting their hair in their lipstick.”
We love to see a couple make light of what could be an uncomfortable situation. And let’s not forget—they’re not the only daytime TV hosts who have encountered beauty and fashion malfunctions as of late.
As viewers may remember, Today show host Sheinelle Jones unexpectedly lost her heels just 30 seconds before walking on stage for her fourth-hour show, Today With Jenna and Sheinelle. Luckily, someone was on hand to remedy the situation, and she made it just in time before the cameras started rolling.
So, the moral of the story here is: Co-hosts may have beauty and wardrobe uh-ohs, but they always know how to take it in stride and seamlessly recover.
