Meghan Markle has shared some never-seen-before images from her wedding to Prince Harry to mark their eighth anniversary.
The Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram on Tuesday, May 19, to share pictures from the wedding reception. The happy couple took center stage in the snaps as they danced and hugged.
In a second Instagram post, Meghan shared a series of snaps from the wedding ceremony, which was held at Windsor Castle. In one picture, the couple cozied up to one another as they posed for their official wedding portrait.
Another snap saw Meghan gazing lovingly at her husband as he gave a speech to their guests. After the speech, the Duke of Sussex gave his wife a kiss on the lips.
Meghan captioned the second post, “Eight years ago today…” this time adding a sun emoji.
Body language expert Darren Stanton has analyzed the new pictures and suggested Meghan seemed “overwhelmed” with love as she married Harry.
Speaking to The Express US on behalf of Betfair Casino, he shared, “The first thing that strikes me with Meghan is the way she is looking at Harry whilst he is making his speech.
“It is almost a look of astonishment and disbelief. Her eyes are wide and she has a broad duchenne smile – she is overwhelmed with pride and just in a state of utter disbelief and happiness. They are in their own little bubble and she is mesmerized by him.”
As for Harry, the expert suggested he was “totally elated on the day.” Darren elaborated, “The close up of him hugging someone shows just pure joy. His cheek bones are raised and his eyes are so engaged in the smile that is almost squinting – there are crows feet and laugh lines.”
He concluded, “They were clearly besotted with each other and operating in their own little bubble. Meghan in particular consistently in these shots seems overwhelmed with love and joy.”
Meghan and Harry got married on May 19, 2018, at St George’s Chapel in England. The wedding featured plenty of A-list guests, including Oprah Winfrey and Serena Williams.
The Sussexes left the royal family a year after their wedding and now live in Montecito, California, with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
