Millie Bobbie Brown and Jake Bongiovi have become first-time parents after tying the knot in a private ceremony in 2024.
They recently announced that they adopted a baby girl this summer. The Stranger Things actress shared the joyous news on Instagram. “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” the post read.
“And then there were 3,” the heartwarming announcement from the actress, who has been rather open about her relationship, concluded, “Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”
The newlyweds have previously expressed their wish to have a large family.
During her guest appearance on the Smartless podcast in March, the 21 year old star shared that she doesn’t distinguish between having a biological child and adopting. The British actress also admitted that she has always dreamed of becoming a young mother, reports the Mirror US.
“My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake,” she revealed. “Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”
Both she and her husband, son of rock legend Bon Jovi, hail from large families, each with three siblings, and have voiced their desire to have a big family of their own.
On Call Her Daddy, the Florence by Mills founder jested that she informed her spouse she would buzz off all her hair before motherhood to prevent her locks from getting in the way. Millie had her head shaved for her portrayal of Eleven during Stranger Things’ inaugural season.

The pair initially fueled romance speculation in June 2021 and made their red carpet premiere at the 2022 BAFTA Awards. In 2022, Millie revealed to Wired that she and Jake “were friends for a bit” before they began their romantic relationship.
They revealed their engagement on Instagram, triggering worry as Millie and Jake were merely 19 and 20 years old, respectively. Jake allegedly popped the question with a ring that previously belonged to her mother.
Following their intimate wedding ceremony, the newlyweds hosted a grander celebration in Tuscany. She donned a custom Galia Lahav bridal gown, before switching into a vintage Valentino dress and a short Oscar de la Renta outfit for the extravagant reception.
The former child actress recently grabbed attention for responding to remarks about her looks in a video she posted on Instagram. “I refuse to apologize for growing up,” she declared, adding, “Disillusioned people can’t handle seeing a girl become a woman on her terms, not theirs.”
