LIVE music, wellness walks and guided wildlife tours are among the events planned on Brownsea Island this summer.
The National Trust has unveiled a diverse and accessible programme of events aimed at audiences of all ages and interests, including group walks, birdwatching tours, bat safaris, live music and outdoor theatre performances.
Visitor operations and experience manager Dania Schmitz-Vaughan said: ‘We want to run events on Brownsea that appeal to everyone and this year is no exception.
“It’s wonderful to see so many happy, smiling faces on the island.’
The season’s events include a new series of supported walks designed for those who may be feeling isolated or bereaved, or who simply need time to recharge in nature.
These small group walks take place on the first Wednesday of each month.
They are free to attend and include travel and entry to the island, but must be booked in advance.
Wildlife enthusiasts can take part in regular Wild Wetland Bird Walks, led by Dorset Wildlife Trust rangers and National Trust volunteers.
Throughout June, the island will also host Bird and Bat Safaris every Thursday evening.
Visitors are encouraged to bring along friends, family, picnics, chairs and blankets to enjoy a evening of open air theatre.
