My 600-Lb Life’s Dolly Martinez died at the age of 30 and now her heartbroken mum has revealed the reality TV star’s cause of death
Dolly Martinez’s cause of death has been confirmed after the reality TV star died aged 30. The My 600-Lb Life star’s death was confirmed on Sunday in a devastating family statement.
Now, a day later, her cause of death has been revealed by her heartbroken mum. Staci Thurman confirmed Dolly died of congestive heart failure. She was surrounded by loved ones in hospital when she died, Staci said.
It’s reported Dolly went to hospital on March 29 after a period of being ill. It’s said she had been suffering from medical issues, including having fluid on her heart and lungs.

Speaking to TMZ, her distraught mother said her daughter had been placed in a medically-induced coma followed by a ventilator the next day. Sadly, she never recovered.
A day earlier, her sister confirmed the tragic news of her passing in a heartbreaking social media post. Lindsey Cooper wrote on Facebook: “It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beautiful sister, Dolly. Dolly had the brightest personality she could light up any room with her laughter, her kindness, and her loving spirit.
“She had a way of making everyone feel special, and her warmth will stay with us forever.” The statement went on: “While our hearts are broken here, I find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with our dad in heaven.
“I can only imagine the joy of that reunion. Rest peacefully, Dolly. You will always be loved, always be missed, and never forgotten.”
Followers were quick to send messages of condolence in the comment section of the upload shared messages of support and condolence in the comments section of the post. One user wrote: “I’m so sorry for y’all’s loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Dolly Fay Richards in Feb 2023 at Great Wolf Lodge.
“We have been friends ever since. She was so nice and loving to us. Always uplifting. If there is anything y’all need please let me know. Hugs.”
Another wrote: “I am so very sorry for your family’s loss. I had talked to her several times online and she had friended me on facebook.
“She was so very sweet and kind to me. I hope she has found peace and joy with her dad. I am just so sad. I was just so hopeful for her. That show did not do her justice.”
Dolly appeared on My 600-Lb life in season 10. The series aired in January 2022 when Dolly was aged 25. At the time, she candidly opened up on her struggles with mental health and food addiction. She began the series weighing 593 pounds.
Despite losing 40 pounds over the course of the series, she didn’t lose enough weight to be considered for weight loss surgery.
