Sugar, we’re going down-town to “cry. sing. repeat.” at a new emo night at Corduroy.
Launching on July 22, the weekly, Wednesday night karaoke jam will be hosted by Michael Vampire, frontman for metalcore troupe Vampires Everywhere!
There’s no cover, and drink specials like $3 PBRs and $9 Boilermakers in case a liquid courage is needed to get up and belt out “The Black Parade” in those repurposed skinny jeans.
“Emo music has a way of bringing people together. We all have those songs that instantly take us back to a moment, a person or a feeling and there’s something special about singing them alongside a room full of people who know every word,” Michael Vampire says in a press release. “Corduroy already has one of the best rock ‘n’ roll atmospheres in Vegas, making it the perfect home for Emo karaoke. Every Wednesday is a chance to relive the nostalgia and create new memories with our fellow emo fiends.”
Corduroy’s emo karaoke weekly joins other downtown emo nights like “Sunday! At The Disco” on the first Sunday of the month at Oddfellows and the monthly “Taking Back Friday” at Bizarre Bar.
Elsewhere, “Emo Night Brooklyn” comes to Brooklyn Bowl on Aug. 7 and “The Emo Night Tour” stops at The Portal at Area15 on Aug. 14.
“Misery Business” has never been better.
