New Music from AIKO, Subwoolfer, Željko Joksimovic and more

The Eurovision 2026 season is beginning to heat up. Over the course of the next few months, we will all fall in and out of love with scores of new national final and Eurovision entries. But that doesn’t mean we forget about the artists from past contests.

THEORY OF A DEADMAN Announces New EP ‘Part 1: Funeral Songs’

Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.

Here is our final weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.

New music from Eurovision artists: 2025 | Week 52

Sergej Ćetković – “Ljube”

This week starts from Montenegro, with a song from Sergej, who competed in Eurovision 2014. We have a powerful ballad with traditional Balkan influences, called “My Love,” accompanied by a black-and-white cinematic music video that becomes a metaphor for feeling alone in the middle of a crowd, for finding others, but never the right person.

The song speaks about a love that has slowly turned cold, just like winter, an idea highlighted by the snow in the video: “Honey, I haven’t changed my address/ Maybe your lips have, maybe someone else has you/ Love, now it’s cold like winter/ Honey, our calendars are empty, our closets are full of ghosts/ You and I are like veterans, love defends itself/ And when I remain alone, I know you as myself” Through this emotional narrative, the lyrics pose a heart-breaking rhetorical question: who could ever love you more than me?

Aiko – “Time”

Aiko represented Czechia last year. This week she drops a pop banger about giving time to someone, pretending you’re into them, and then leaving — treating the one who hurt you the same way you’ve been treated. For the last time this year, she asked her fans to vote between two song snippets on social media, and they chose this one.

The lyrics say: “Love of your life/ Just for the night/ Enjoy the high/ I wanna give you all my time time time time/ Treat you like you’re mine mine mine mine/ And then I’ll leave without a trace trace trace trace/ What a fun charade.”

J.O.X feat. EMMY – “Natteravn”

EMMY is the Norwegian star who represented Ireland in this year’s Eurovision edition. This week she collaborated with J.O.X to release “Nightfall,” a true club party starter. Get ready for a techno track where EMMY’s unique voice hypnotizes you completely, while J.O.X’s mixing gets you vibing all the way through. The song is a new reinterpretation of the well-known track of the same name, originally released in 2010 by the Danish artist Rasmus Seebach.

Subwoolfer – “Dark Side of the Moon”

Subwoolfer is the group formed to represent Norway in Eurovision 2022, and ever since, they have continued to release new music. This week, DJ Astronaut and our two favourite yellow wolves take us “to the dark side of the moon,” bringing a dark pop vibe with EDM elements that make this track perfect for every party.

The story behind the song unfolds through a series of animated posts on their Instagram page, where, after a banana is stolen (and eaten) from the wolves, DJ Astronaut arrives to save the day with a new beat — and more bananas. However, the moon where the wolves live slowly begins to fall into darkness, and once again the DJ teaches them not to fear it, but to celebrate it and keep the party going even when the lights go out. Released as the final chapter of this advent-style story, the song arrives just in time as a Christmas gift for the fans.

Ich Troje – “Zacznijmy od nowa”

Ich Troje competed in Eurovision for Poland back in 2003 and 2006. Their newest track is called “Let’s Start Over” — a tender Polish ballad that, according to the band, is more than just a love song. It is a fight to save relationships on the verge of collapse, a message also reflected in the narrative of the music video. The song is meant to take you by the hand, lift you off the couch, switch off the “watching life from the sidelines” mode and turn on the “dancing, loving, truly living” one. This track isn’t about an ending — it’s about a new beginning, a chance to start again.

Željko Joksimović & Saša Matić – “Ništavilo”

Željko is a Serbian artist and a Eurovision legend. He competed in the contest twice, first in 2004 for Serbia and Montenegro and then again in 2012 for Serbia. He presented Eurovision in 2008, worked as a composer for several songs, and created revamps.

This week, he teams up with the famous Bosnian artist Saša Matić to release “Nothingness,” a powerful Balkan ballad. The song speaks about the emptiness left behind after someone leaves your life, including the physical emptiness of an empty house, which, just like in the music video, seems abandoned. The lyrics say: “Nobody lives here anymore/ As the day dawns grey, everything is gone with her/ Somewhere over there, where she is with another now/ There are the lights of my city/ There is my pain and my home.”

byealex & MISSH – “lányok a kádban”

Back in 2013, byealex represented Hungary in Eurovision. This week he teamed up with MISSH to release “Girls in Bathtub.” Their collaboration — long dreamed of by fans — brings an R&B track filled with sensuality and heat, surprising listeners in the best possible way. Get ready for some Hungarian rap at its finest.

Sabina Babayeva – “Bana Gelme”

And last but not least is Sabina, who competed for Azerbaijan in 2012. Her newest release is called “Don’t Come to Me.” We end with an energetic banger, with which Sabina reminds us what an icon she is. The song is her invitation to dance, exude confidence, and not settle for less, making it the perfect pick to close this year’s playlist on an optimistic note.

Which of these new songs is your favourite? Have we missed out on any? Do you have any artists you want to shout out to? Let us know in the comments.
