Nicole and Kidman have ended their marriage, and this news has shocked their fans. The couple looked happy; however, James claimed that their recent public appearances showed signs of strain.
Talking to celebrity.land, the renowned body language expert claimed that the actor’s public displays of affection with her husband felt very theatrical. While the country singer, on the other hand, appeared more distant and reluctant.
She added, “Nicole is always a fan of a brand of highly theatrical ‘performative passion’, with her red carpet and public appearances with Keith riddled with overkill signals of ecstatic responses, often making them look more like a screen test for her next movie role than anything natural and authentic.”
She further said that the actor’s way of showing affection with her husband at red carpets and events was quite “exaggerated.” It was as if she wanted to show them as a “loving, bonded couple,” with a great physical attraction. The expert highlights that Kidman tried to bring him closer to herself with gestures. “As he steps in, she performs a double hand clasp, sending some coy, coaxing signals to her husband with a rather teenage-looking flirty shoulder shrug,” the expert explained.
However, it doesn’t seem to work on Urban. When he is on the red carpet, he seems to “keep a large spatial distance in front of the camera.”
The expert further explained that Kidman attempted to make a deliberate effort to showcase their bond. However, Urban’s body language stated otherwise.
“Keith still appears reluctant in this little ‘dance of doom’ so she places a dominant arm round his shoulders to create some signal of togetherness,” claimed the expert.
The couple seemed in love during the events. However, James hints at challenges behind the scenes, reading their body language.
