A new book just published by Elvis Presley’s former wife, Priscilla Presley, reveals some juicy details about the couple’s sex life.
Tidbits from the book, Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Death, were shared by Us Weekly on the day of its release. Priscilla was blunt, at times, about how the iconic singer “lost interest” in her “sexually” after several years together.
Priscilla wrote, “He had never been able to make love to a woman who’d had a child.”
She added, “He had put his mother on a pedestal, and after Lisa was born, he put me on one, too. It is impossible to make love on a pedestal.”

Priscilla and Elvis remained together for about four years after Lisa Marie Presley’s birth. Priscilla noted that Elvis was always “flirtatious and very affectionate” after their daughter was born. However, she added, that was the extent of the physical intimacy for the most part.
At some point after Priscilla had decided she was going to leave Elvis, the couple was intimate one more time.
“Elvis made love to me forcefully, not forcibly. His usual tenderness and consideration for me were missing. It was emotionally hurtful, and left me with an unhappy memory of my last experience of sexual intimacy with Elvis.”

Priscilla wrote that Elvis knew about her affair with Mike Stone, her karate instructor. He thought the divorce was over that.
She noted, “Elvis had felt emasculated” by the affair. “I didn’t leave because Elvis had forced himself on me when he found out about Mike. He had not,” Priscilla added.
Even after Elvis and Priscilla split, “he still couldn’t wrap his head around my being with someone else.”
According to Fox News, Priscilla also wrote in her new book that Elvis considered hiring a hit man to get rid of Stone because of the affair. She wrote, “Elvis found the thought of me with another man unbearable. In the weeks after my departure, he told the guys that Mike had to die. He even asked Joe [Esposito, his road manager] to find a hitman.”
She noted that Elvis never took that step, but Esposito had “warned me to be careful.” Priscilla added, “Over time, and with a lot of persuasion from his father and the guys, Elvis gradually calmed down and gave up the idea of killing Mike, thank God.”
