(NewsNation) — Pop star Sabrina Carpenter has been “working late” — on a new film, that is.
The “Espresso” singer will reportedly lead and produce a new “Alice in Wonderland”-inspired musical movie.
Multiple outlets have reported Carpenter, a former Disney actress, is making her first attempt at a major studio picture.

Details are limited, but filmmaker and playwright Lorene Scafaria, known for “Hustlers” and “Succession,” is slated to direct from her own script.
Deadline reported Marc Platt will join Carpenter as a producer through Marc Platt Productions, which is slated to release “Wicked: For Good” with Universal Pictures on Nov. 21.
Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” was recently adapted into a live-action picture in 2010.
