The famous sketch show returns for its new season Saturday, Oct. 4, with Bad Bunny, the recently announced 2026 Super Bowl halftime show headliner, set to host. Grammy Award-winning artist Doja Cat is slated to join the Puerto Rican rapper as the music guest.
This will be Bad Bunny’s second time hosting “SNL.” He served as musical guest for host Scarlett Johansson in May’s Season 50 finale, marking his third time performing on the show.

After making his hosting debut in Season 49 and closing Season 50 as its final music guest, Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican superstar will return to headline the premiere.
The artist dubbed the “King of Latin Trap” was announced as the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show performer on Sept. 28, a week after he concluded his 31-date Puerto Rico residency. Bad Bunny became the first non-English American artist to be Spotify’s most-streamed artist of the year for three years in a row, 2020 to 2022.
His 2022 album “Un Verano Sin Ti” holds the title of most-streamed album on Spotify, according to ChartMasters.org. The three-time Grammy winner rose to the mainstream with his 2016 track “Diles,” and his 2020 album “El Último Tour Del Mundo” became the first all-Spanish language album to land on the top of Billboard 200.
Beyond his music career, the 31-year-old rapper has embarked on a professional wrestling career, first appearing on WWE in 2021 and competing in several matches since.

The pop-rap queen, known for her unique performances and hits like “Kiss Me More” and her recent song “Jealous Type,” promotes her fifth studio album, “Vie,” which released on Sept. 26.

The singer’s latest album is primarily pop with themes of “love” and “hopefulness,” according to Billboard. The music video for her single “Jealous Type” and her VMAs performance echoed the ’80s with some Madonna-esque moves.
How to watch ‘Saturday Night Live’
All episodes of “SNL” premiere Saturday nights at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Those wanting to stream the show live can do so with a Peacock premium subscription, or stream new episodes the next day with a basic Peacock subscription.
Hulu + Live TV subscribers, or anyone with a streaming service that offers live TV capabilities, can also stream the show live. The show will be available to stream with a regular Hulu subscription Sunday, the day after a new episode airs.
