The day after Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco wed in front of 170 of their closest friends and family at the Sea Crest Nursery in Santa Barbara, Calif., the music producer was still on cloud nine. On Sept. 28, the 37-year-old posted a series of dreamy snaps from the enchanting nuptials, writing, “I married a real life disney princess.”
The wedding weekend had all the makings of a fairytale. With a star-studded guest list, three ethereal gowns and a bumpy road to love, it even included two fairy godfathers: At the rehearsal dinner at an estate in Goleta Valley, Calif., Selena’s Only Murders in the Building costars Steve Martin and Martin Short reportedly gave a hilarious speech. Though it drizzled on the big day, the newlyweds barely noticed. “The wedding was everything they wanted,” a source tells Star. “It was perfect.”

Wife Of The Party
The bride was escorted down an aisle of Persian rugs by her maternal grandfather David Michael Cornett. The 33-year-old wore a gorgeous Ralph Lauren halter-neck dress — one of three custom-made for the occasion — with her and Benny’s initials embroidered into the delicate lace, and carried a beautiful bouquet of lilies of the valley. Standing beneath a flower arch, the groom awaited her in a traditional black tuxedo also designed by the American fashion house.
After exchanging personal vows under a sprawling white tent, the two swapped rings with sentimental nods to their relationship. Benny’s 18K gold Jacob & Co. band has the pair’s wedding date engraved inside and features their respective birthstones, ruby and aquamarine, while Selena chose a diamond eternity band from Abril Barret to complement the 8-carat marquise-cut engagement ring he proposed with back in December.

Rather than a formal sit-down dinner, Selena and Benny opted for cocktail tables and gourmet bites catered by celeb-favorite Nobu. The wedding cake was a white single-tier, heart-shaped confection with “Just Married” written across the top in black icing, and guests were treated to an ice cream sundae bar. Grammy-winning DJ Mark Ronson spun the 1s and 2s for A-list attendees like Paul Rudd, Édgar Ramirez, Zoe Saldaña, Paris Hilton, SZA, Camila Cabello, Cara Delevingne, Eric André, Finneas and Selena’s old Wizards of Waverly Place costars Jennifer Stone and David DeLuise, with longtime pals Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift both giving speeches, per People. For their first (barefoot!) dance as husband and wife, Selena and Benny choreographed a routine that included nods to Dirty Dancing and Grease. “It meant so much to celebrate their love with family and friends,” says the source.

Sick Of That Same-Old Love
Like a fairytale princess, Selena had to kiss a couple of frogs before finding true love. The singer’s yearslong on-and-off relationship with first love Justin Bieber wasn’t without its issues. In 2020, she accused her ex-boyfriend, 31, of “emotional abuse” and has previously hinted that her 2019 song “Lose You to Love Me” is about their roller-coaster romance, with fans long speculating that the lyric, “in two months, you replaced us,” was a nod to his whirlwind engagement to wife Hailey Bieber following their 2018 split.
In between their breakups and makeups, Selena was romantically linked to several celebs, including Orlando Bloom, Zedd, Niall Horan, Charlie Puth, The Weeknd, Drew Taggart and Zayn Malik. Little did she know, she had already met her soulmate. Selena first crossed paths with Benny when she was just 16. Her mother, Mandy Teefey, set up a meeting early on in the pop star’s career, though they didn’t end up working together until years later. Benny and Selena went on to become friends, nothing more. In fact, he actually tried to set her up with one of his pals! However, sparks began to fly after they collaborated on her 2023 hit, “Single Soon.”
“The second we started hanging out, I was like, ‘This is my wife,’” Benny confessed in February to Interview. “I was telling my mom, ‘This is the girl I’m going to marry.’” He meant it. After a year-plus of dating, he popped the question over Selena’s favorite meal: Taco Bell. “I’ve never been loved this way,” she’d gushed to Vanity Fair just a few months prior to the surprise proposal. “He’s just been a light. A complete light in my life. He’s my best friend.”
