Sinclair Broadcast Group, the largest ABC affiliate group in the country, has decided to stop airing Jimmy Kimmel Live! after comments Jimmy Kimmel made about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The information comes directly from Sinclair.
According to Sinclair, they spoke with ABC and agreed to preempt Kimmel’s show indefinitely starting tonight. After that conversation, ABC also paused production of Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
“Mr. Kimmel’s remarks were inappropriate and deeply insensitive at a critical moment for our country,” said Sinclair Vice Chairman Jason Smith. “We believe broadcasters have a responsibility to educate and elevate respectful, constructive dialogue in our communities.”
