Actress Blanche Baker, who is most well-known for playing Ginny in Sixteen Candles, the older sister of Molly Ringwald‘s character Samantha, shared a special photo with fans on Nov. 2 after enjoying a nice time with her kids and grandchildren.
The 68-year-old shared a new snap on Instagram of herself surrounded by family members as they posed for a photo in a park. Baker appeared to be with her two sons, Zane Van Dusen and James Magill. Zane’s wife stood beside him, while Baker’s two grandchildren smiled brightly in front of them.
The actress appeared to have a good time in the photo, captioning the update, “Fall outing with kids and grandkids.”
Baker has four children, welcoming daughters Dara and Wynn and son Zane with her first husband, Bruce Van Dusen, whom she was married to from 1982 to 2002. She then married Mark Magill in 2003, and they welcomed their son James soon after.
While Baker doesn’t shy away from sharing personal updates on social media, it’s only rare instances that her older children and grandchildren make an appearance together.
Despite this, Baker makes sure to mark special occasions with photos of her family, such as back in September, when she celebrated her daughter Wynn winning her third Emmy Award. Baker also has another grandchild named Sidney, who is Wynn’s young daughter, and the actress has shared photos of the little one whenever she gets to spend time with her.

Baker Is Still a Working Actress
Along with enjoying quality time with her family when she can, Baker is also still an actress, appearing in several shorts over the past few years, while she also has a handful of projects coming up.
In the past, Baker has had plenty of impressive roles beyond Sixteen Candles. She even won an Emmy for Outstanding Single Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Comedy or Drama Series in 1978 for her performance in the mini-series Holocaust, which also starred Meryl Streep.
Other notable roles include The Girl Next Door, Jersey Justice, Raw Deal and the 1990 movie adaptation of The Handmaid’s Tale.
