I Lied To You | ‘Sinners’ Musical Performance | 98th Oscars (2026)

Televised on Sunday, the 98th Annual Academy Awards, aka the Oscars, was dominated by Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, which racked up a record breaking 16 nominations, four of which the movie went on to win (most notably Ludwig Göransson winning Best Score and Michael B. Jordan winning Best Actor). The Oscars uploaded the jaw-dropping live performance of the soundtrack cut “I Lied To You” featuring a truly legendary lineup of musicians: Miles Canton, Raphael Saadiq, Buddy Guy, Brittany Howard, Shaboozey, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and more.

Last month, Melissa Aldana released her third album, titled Filin, through the iconic label Blue Note Records. Now, Aldana and Blue Note follow up with a music video for the track “Imagenes”, featuring Aldana on sax, Gonzalo Rubalcaba tickling the ivories, Peter Washington playing bass, and Kush Abadey drumming.
