Sydney Sweeney‘s R-Rated thriller has replaced Brad Pitt’s racing juggernaut at the top of the movie charts of a popular streamer. The said juggernaut is F1, which has been dominating Apple TV charts for months. While there were instances when it lost the top spot, the feature regularly regained the slot.
Sydney Sweeney’s new thriller overtakes Brad Pitt’s racing movie on Apple TV Charts
Echo Valley, starring Sydney Sweeney and Julianne Moore, is the #1 entry on Apple TV movie charts as of June 18, 2026, according to FlixPatrol. F1 currently occupies the second spot. The other entries on the list are Outcome, The Gorge, Greyhound, Fountain of Youth, The Family Plan 2, Highest 2 Lowest, Eternity, and Propeller One-Way Night Coach.
Notably, the data from FlixPatrol isn’t necessarily complete. However, it does give a broader picture.
Before its Apple TV debut on June 13, 2025, Echo Valley premiered in select theaters on June 6, 2025. Michael Pearce directed the movie from a script by Brad Ingelsby. The plot revolves around Moore’s Kate Garrett and Sweeney’s Claire Garrett. Kate is a horse trainer who has her own farm, while Claire is her troubled daughter, dealing with addiction issues. After a considerable separation, they reunite when Claire arrives in a desperate state.
Echo Valley currently has a 53% approval rating on the review-aggregating site Rotten Tomatoes. Lou Thomas of Empire Magazine was one of the critics who gave the movie a positive review. “An intelligent, sapphic-tinged and superbly acted rural thriller with Moore, Sweeney, Gleeson [Domhnall] and Shaw [Fiona] all on fine form, only slightly dampened by some blatant product placement,” Thomas shared.
Meanwhile, F1 came out in US theaters on June 27, 2025, and made over $634 million at the global box office (via Box Office Mojo). At present, it has a 82% Rotten Tomatoes Rating. Besides Pitt, the Formula One movie stars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, and Tobias Menzies.
