Tate McRae Is transparent Perfection in All White at the 2025 MTV VMAs

Tate McRae has officially hit the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet.

Following in the footsteps of her memorable appearance last year, the “Revolving Door” singer made a statement yet again with a transparent white dress with a pleated bra top and side cutouts. She wore the see-through maxi with matching underwear.

As she’s risen in the pop ranks, clearly voters noticed, because McRae stands as one of the most-nominated stars of the evening.

The singer received nods for Song of the Year (“Sports Car”) and Best Pop Artist, while her F1 song “Just Keep Watching” is nominated for Song of Summer, and its video is recognized in the Best Editing (William Town and Modern Post) and Best Visual Effects (Daniel Saldivar and White Rhino VFX) categories. Her collaboration with Morgan Wallen, “What I Want,” also received a nod for Song of Summer, too.

McRae has frequented the ceremony for years now, getting nominations in 2020 and 2024. However, it was the latter year that she grabbed everyone’s attention, when she walked the red carpet in a lacy black mini with underwear peeking through—a look that paid homage to Britney Spears’s Dolce & Gabbana dress from the 2001 ceremony. For the event, McRae even had her styled in waves that emulated the Princess of Pop’s ’do.

Clearly, after such a memorable moment, McRae knew she had to keep the momentum going.
