The Villain Arts Tattoo Convention is coming to Houston July 31 through Aug. 2 at NRG Center for the Houston Tattoo Arts Festival. The festival will have tattoo artists, entertainment and vendors.
“Each event is designed to showcase the diversity of tattoo culture while honoring its traditions and pushing creative boundaries forward,” the Villain Arts Tattoo Convention website reads.
A day pass is $20, and a three-day pass is $40. Kids under 12 get in for free. The ticket gets attendees into the event, including entertainment, live tattooing, vendors and artist booths, but tattoos, piercings and merchandise are paid for separately.
The Houston festival will have 10 entertainers, according to its website, including America’s Got Talent stars Captain and Maybelle. There will be 15 artists, 15 shops and vendors, and five tattoo shops, according to the website.
“Our festivals are a celebration of tattoo culture – bringing together world-class tattoo artists, amazing entertainers, vendors, and tattoo enthusiasts all under one roof,” the website reads.
Booking tattoos at the festival is done directly through the artist, and organizers suggest that those hoping to get tattooed browse the master directory or visit the event page for the Houston festival to find an artist and then reach out to them via social media or their website to schedule an appointment at the festival.
