Lady Marina Windsor, eldest daughter of the Earl and Countess of St Andrews, took her ‘magical hens’ to an island off the Kent coast to celebrate her upcoming nuptials
Meghan Markle had her hen party at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, a favourite haunt of A-list celebrities, while Kate Middleton “let her hair down” and performed a song and dance routine by pop star Cheryl Cole.
But the latest royal hen do was perhaps the most down-to-earth of them all, as Lady Marina Windsor – who studied at the University of Edinburgh – took her best pals to the Isle of Sheppey off the coast of Kent.
In an Instagram post, she gushed: “My heart is bursting with love and gratitude for my magical hens and this spectacular weekend.” Photos from the party show the revellers wearing pink cowboy hats and downing cocktails.
The 33-year-old royal, who is a second cousin once removed to King Charles, announced her engagement to fiancé Nico Macauley, 32, in June last year. In some of the shots, she is wearing a white silk dress and a wedding veil.

Her younger sister Lady Amelia Windsor, 30, was also at the fun-filled weekend, which also included group dinners, walks by the Thames Estuary and an adorable dog.
After the hen party was covered by outlets including Tatler, Town & Country and People magazine, Lady Marina has made her Instagram account private – which will be a blow to all those reporter’s covering her busy social life.
Lady Marina is the eldest daughter of the Earl and Countess of St Andrews, and the granddaughter of Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent, and the late Katharine, Duchess of Kent.
After her grandmother died last September, she paid tribute to her “amazing and beloved Amama”. She was once 28th in line to the throne, before forfeiting her place in the line of succession in order to be baptised into the Roman Catholic church.
